Co-developed by the San Francisco Giants and Tishman Speyer, Mission Rock is a 28 acre, 3.8 million square foot mixed-use waterfront development adjacent to Giants’ Oracle Stadium. Internationally renowned architecture firms Henning Larsen, MVRDV, Studio Gang, and WORKac were engaged to design Phase 1, a series of mid and high-rise mixed-use and residential buildings, The Canyon, Mission Rock Building B, Visa Market Support Center, and Verde.

Recognizable for its rugged red-brown texture referencing Californian rock formations, The Canyon consists of a 5-story plinth and 23-story tower featuring a landscaped public “canyon” that cuts diagonally through the plinth. Mission Rock Building B offers a flexible floor plate design in its 8-story building to accommodate a variety of tenancies including commercial and life sciences companies, setting a new wave of workplaces that connect interior and exterior spaces. Inspired by the Yosemite National Park geological formations, The Visa Market Support Center is a 13-story office building featuring a white, rugged facade with ascending terraces. Verde, a 23-story mixed-use tower, incorporates a facade decorated in green glazed ceramic tiles, and its floorplates are carved at the corners to create outdoor terraces, maximizing sunlight exposure while providing wind protection.
